  • Troubleshooting B&W Custom Headache Rack w/ LED Disabling Rear Sensors on 2017 Ford F-350
  • I spoke with my contact at B&W regarding the Custom Headache Rack # BWPUCP7500BA referenced in your question. He stated that on your 2017 Ford F-350, you will just need to wire the pigtail into the actual truck light wires on the vehicle, as going to the 7-Way on the 2017 disable the rear sensors as you mentioned. Wiring directly to the truck light wires will allow the truck to operate as normal and it will not act as if there is a trailer connected. The green wire is for the passenger...

  • Backup Sensors/Camera Turn Off After Plugging B&W Custom Headache Rack Into 2018 Ford F-250
  • If that connector you are plugging into is related to the tow package wiring, then that is what is causing the problem on your 2018 Ford F-250. • I recently had a similar problem with the LED lights on my flatbed that I have on my 2000 Dodge 3500, except all of the tail lights on the left side of my bed were dim. My issue was a poor ground connection and I would suspect that would be your issue as well. I recommend inspecting all of the ground locations as well as the ground wires coming from each of the lights. Look for loose connections or pinched wires. If your lights use the plug-in style pigtail harnesses (see photo), look...

  • Trailer Right Blinker and Brake Light Not Working when Connected to a 2015 Ram 2500
  • The issue you are describing sounds like a ground issue. Ground problems normally show up when there is more draw on a system such as when you have the running lights on and then use another function like a turn signal or brake light but can show up any time. Make sure that the vehicle side and trailer side connectors are clean and free of corrosion inside and out. The main connector grounds should be attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. The light grounds should also...
